25 Million Latinos Lose If Congress Doesn’t Extend Payroll Tax Cut

The payroll tax cut is set to expire by the end of the year. If Congress doesn’t extend President Obama’s tax cut, 160 million families — and 25 million Latinos — will immediately see their taxes go up. Here’s a snippet from a fact sheet:

The President is proposing to extend and expand the payroll tax cut passed last December, increasing it to 3.1 percent for 2012.  In total, this will help an estimated 25 million Hispanic workers who pay payroll taxes.
