Happy Friday From M.E.D.

M.E.D. (aka Medaphoar) is an MC from Oxnard, California who’s worked with the renowned L.A. record label Stone’s Throw for over a decade.

Sticking with today’s theme of interracial relationships, his single Blaxican tackles the topic of race relations in California, something M.E.D.’s got a unique perspective on given that his mother is Mexican and his father is black. It’s not easy being a mixed-race kid, but M.E.D. seems to take it in stride and makes it look cool.

Check out M.E.D.’s video celebrating racial unity, a retro-inspired clip, an ode to where he’s from, and a track produced by the late J Dilla.
