Latinos In Pennsylvania Fight For Political Representation

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported this week that Latinos in that state are organizing to push back the state’s primary date in order to ensure they are properly represented. Latinos are the fastest-growing minority group in the state, yet the April 24 primary is based on the 2000 census, not the more recent 2010 census. Meaning that growth of Latinos are not reflected in the current political boundaries.
