FL Legislator One-Ups AZ Anti-Immigrant Law, Excluding Canadians, Europeans
Florida state Rep. William Snyder, a former Dade-County police officer, has filed a bill modeled after Arizona’s controversial SB 1070 that would empower police to check anyone whose immigration status would be deemed suspicious. The big difference in Snyder’s bill, however, is that Canadians or residents of 32 “visa waiver countries,” only four of which are not in Europe, would be presumed to be in the United States legally.
Isn’t that handy? Police won’t need to waste their time stopping white people.
