CNN Adds Latinas To Its Lineup

CNN is mixing up its morning broadcast:  Soledad O Brien, the network’s lead documentary correspondent will be co-anchoring the 7 a.m. newscast, according to Mediabistro.

Soledad O’Brien, who is of Afro-Cuban and Irish descent, was an anchor on the morning show before, but has recently become more known for her reporting in CNN’s documentaries Latino in America and Black in America.

Additionally, Chicago’s Zoraida Sambolin is set to co- anchor the 5 a.m. newscast with Ashleigh Banfield out of New York. Perhaps this is CNN’s version of the Latino programming that everyone seems to be into these days, whatever the case, look out for these two Latina anchors on CNN in the mornings.
