Cameron County DA Announces South TX Congressional Bid

Two-term Cameron County District Attorney Armando Villalobos has announced a bid for the 27th congressional district of Texas, spanning parts of the Rio Grande Valley, Kenedy, Kleberg and Nueces counties. His Republican opponent, Blake Farenthold, beat out the previous long-time congressman Solomon P. Ortiz in the 2010 election.
