Sal Baldenegro Jr. To Run For Arizona’s House, LD2

Sal Baldenegro Jr. — son of longtime Arizona activist Salomón Baldenegro and husband to Navajo congressional candidate Wenona Benally Baldenegro — is set to make a run for Arizona state house district LD2, according to an announcement.
The district is new and encompasses south Tucson, Sahuarita, Rio Rico, Nogales, Green Valley, Patagonia, Sonoita, and Elgin. The district leans Democrat, with 53% of the voting age population being Latino, 42% Democrat, 25% Republican, and 33% independent.
