Texas Tea Party Candidate Ted Cruz: Spanish Is Ghetto

Republican U.S. Senate candidate in Texas Ted Cruz recently followed Newt Gingrich’s lead in calling Spanish that language of the ghetto. According to The Dallas Morning News, this is what he said:

“When my father came over here penniless with $100 sewn into his underwear, thank God some well-meaning liberal didn’t come put his arm around him and say, ‘Let me take care of you. Let me put you on the government dole [and] rob you of your self respect. And by the way, don’t bother to learn English. Let me keep you in a language ghetto,'” Cruz said. He said the traditional “American dream” is being destroyed by letting people use their native languages and grow dependent on government aid.

Thanks to Rebecca for the tip!

  1. First of all,  because of Liberals, is why he was able to even come over here. If it would of been the Anti Immigrant Republicans like him, he would still be in Mexico, Pendejo.  Liberal Mexican Americans like us FIRST,  would of offered him something to eat and drink, without expecting something in return.

  2. thats’s funny because some of the smartest people I have met speak spanish and it is not the
texas spanish that Mr. Crus hears or probably speaks.
