Bruce Springsteen Pays Tribute To Victor Jara, Chilean Folksinger Killed After Coup

The Boss has just boosted his Latino cred.
Bruce Springsteen gave a tribute in Spanish to Chilean folksinger Víctor Jara at a concert in Santiago the day after the 40th anniversary of the U.S.-backed coup that overthrew the elected government of Salvador Allende, according to The Nation. The military dictatorship led by Augusto Pinochet tortured and killed the leftwing Jara in the aftermath of the coup.
