Hispanic Caucus to wait on resolution

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus is holding off on taking a sharper line against President Barack Obama on deportations after his announcement Thursday evening that his administration will review its enforcement policies.
The 26-member caucus had mulled a formal resolution that would take a tougher line on the administration’s deportation policies amid increased anger from the Latino and immigration reform community. But the White House announced late Thursday after a meeting with three of the caucus members that the Department of Homeland Security will conduct a review of deportation policies to see if enforcement can be done “more humanely within the confines of the law.”
That move has satisfied the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, for now.
