Mexican authorities confirm human remains belong to missing Mexican student

Mexican Attorney General Jesus Murillo Karam on Sunday confirmed that human remains found in southern Mexico are those of one of the 43 missing teaching school students who disappeared last September after being attacked by police.

“According to the results issued by the University of Innsbruck, the bone sample studied belongs to Alexander Mora Venancio, a 21-year-old student, who belongs to the group of people who disappeared … on Sept. 26 in Iguala,” in southern Guerrero state, he said at a press conference.
