Our story.
NewsTaco sprang from — what else? — tacos.
Carlos Guerra, Victor Landa, and Gilberto Ocañas commiserated that there was no place that provided Latino news and information in a way that totally satisfied them — like a taco that gives you everything you need in one bite. Since, we’ve worked to provide an authentic Latino point of view on NewsTaco with the feel of comfort food.
Why we chose “Latino” over “Hispanic.”

Glad to find your e-site. Love the name NewsTaco! Growing up in the 50s and 60s at a time when the American melting pot did its best to cook the “savor” outta every ethnic group I appreciate the nurturing flavor of a familiar and even a bit playful title. In my own journey to find my Latina comfort spot it has been my saving grace to hold humor and family as my constant companions. Once I embraced the concept that success as a human being is so much less about becoming like everybody else and more about culturing who I am and where I came from life is so much sweeter!

P. S. I noticed I became yada, yada yada, ….. Yes, it is a catchy name, I enjoy “tacos” and I am guessing you dismissed the connotation. Granted, the name does distinguish the site, Y QUE MAS? T
